Lewis-Palmer School District 38 Teacher Spotlight: Michelle Grothe Michelle Grothe is entering her sixth year of teaching fourth grade at Ray E. Kilmer Elementary School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degrec in Social Science with an Elementary Education endorsement from the University of Northern Colorado after graduating from Liberty High School. She chose teaching as her profession because she struggled as an elementary and middle school student. She wanted to help others who struggled as well Ballot Information Forum Hosted by the D38 District Accountability Advisory Committee and Committee for Political Achievement A panel will answer questions about the D38 November ballot questions (4A and 4B). When Michelle had children, she took a break from teaching and became an involved parent at Kilmer Elementary. When her children were old enough, she started subbing and then decided to return to teaching. She enjoys her students- finding them kind, caring, and wanting to succeed. She utilizes various means of connecting with her students and enjoys keeping them engaged not only with learning but also with the world around them. Michelle loves seeing how hard her kids work, always trying to do their best.
