Thank You Dear Citizens of Colorado Springs, On behalf of The Broadmoor, it is with sincere appreciation that I extend our deepest thanks to the citizens of Colorado Springs for your amazing support of the 2025 U.S. Senior Open Championship. This year marked our 9th USGA Championship over our 107-year history and welcoming this esteemed event to our community has been an honor and privilege. The tournament's success was, without question, a reflection of the City's extraordinary partnership, generous resources, and dedication to elevating Colorado Springs as a premier host for world-class events. This was all made possible with the support of our community, county, and state. From the thoughtful coordination of logistics and public services to the warm hospitality shown by every corner of our community, your contributions made this championship a truly memorable occasion for the players, officials, guests, and fans nationwide. We are deeply grateful to the City of Colorado Springs, El Paso County, and the Colorado Tourism Office, for your collaboration and the spirit of civic pride that radiates through everything you do. When the USGA selects a host city, multiple factors are considered. Community and statewide support play a significant role, as does the venue itself. But in addition, a key consideration is the surrounding environment and natural beauty-ensuring that both participants and spectators enjoy a rich, memorable experience. In this regard, Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region truly stand out. Iconic attractions like the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, Garden of the Gods, The Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway, and Pikes Peak, America's Mountain, all contribute to this appeal. Throughout the planning process and during the tournament itself, I repeatedly heard how strikingly beautiful Colorado Springs is-praised not only for its abundance of natural attractions but also for the warmth and hospitality of its community. These elements were central to the USGA's decision to host the championship this year, and we're honored to have been selected once again to host in 2031 and 2037. The tournament was a tremendous economic success for the City of Colorado Springs, drawing well over 100,000 attendees over the course of the week and welcoming 1,700 volunteers from 45 states across the country into our community. This championship generated one of the most robust revenue weeks for Colorado Springs through support of local hotels, restaurants, attractions, the airport and rental car services. This influx of travelers translated into a strong week of economic vitality across the city and directly supported the Lodgers and Automobile Rental Tax (LART), which is funded by our out-of-town guests. In addition, the event received over 20 hours of broadcast coverage across NBC and the Golf Channel, including coveted prime-time slots on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. This national exposure showcased the beauty and vibrancy of our city to millions of viewers-an achievement we can all take pride in. It not only elevated our profile on a national stage but will also continue to contribute to its sustained economic growth and long-term success. We are deeply grateful for the support of our community, and this is something we never take for granted. For 107 proud years, we've been honored to be part of the fabric of this city. It has been a true privilege to stand alongside you in bringing this milestone event to life. With sincere appreciation and renewed enthusiasm, we look forward to future opportunities to collaborate in service of the city we all call home.
